Industrial Candle Holder - It's a Little Nutty

While visiting my family in New Mexico last month,
I was taking photos around my sister's home and
found this HUGE old, rusty nut-looking thing in the field behind her house.
I had no idea what I would do with it,
but when you find a cool, old piece of rusty junk,
you just can't leave it in the dirt, can you?
Well, I can't anyway!

While rooting around in my workshop the
other day, I noticed that I had several glass
lamp shades that didn't have bases to go with them,
so I put them together!

I'm trying to get up the nerve to bring it in the house,
and put it on the kitchen table, but my family already
speculates I'm a little nuts...this should thoroughly convince them.

Blessings,
Angie

  5. I don't think you are Nuts ... I like it and think you have a good eye for re-purposing. Your family, like my husband should be used to us 'nutty' people by now.

  17. Well I must be nuts for nuts, because this is a really cool idea -- I'd definitely not just bring it in but put it in a prominent spot!

  18. I totally think you should bring it into the house! My family thinks I'm a little nuts too but I wouldn't want to confuse them by suddenly acting normal. LOL! I think it is super cool and clever and we appreciate you sharing this with us at Inspiration Friday!

  22. Definitely take it in for display, Angie! The uniqueness of it just says that you're showing your individuality. Who could fault you for that? I told you I grew up in New Mexico, didn't I? Where does your family live? :-) Sue
