This gal may be old, but
she's got beautiful bones, doesn't she?
Somewhere through the years,
she got "undressed",
but I think that's part of her charm.
I keep thinking about getting her
reupholstered, she's elegant just the way she is,
even if not very practical as furniture.
If I had a bricks and mortar shop,
I'd let her great everyone at the doorway.
I wonder what she looked like in her younger years.
I'm sure she was a real "looker".
This gal is slightly younger, but still pretty old.
She had "clothes" when I got her,
but my mom and I thought we could
give her a new dress.
As you can see, we didn't get very far.
But I think she's quite pretty this way too,
even though she's slightly under-dressed.
Someday, I hope to finish her "clothes"
so she can be used again.
But the day was so beautiful, I decided to
give them both some fresh air and sunshine.
And to let them I know I think they
are lovely...just the way they are.
My daughter's horse wasn't terribly impressed
when I put the pretty, linen on his back.
I had to sneak it on him, because
when I first walked up to him with it,
it made him nervous and he wouldn't
let me near him with it.
when I first walked up to him with it,
it made him nervous and he wouldn't
let me near him with it.
Hope you are having a day filled with lots of beauty.
Blessings,
Angie

I have an old girl with good bones out in my shed. Wonder what she would look like all naked out in the yard? Better her than me anyway!

Oh, my! Your girl looks beautiful surrounded by all that green. I am sure she would look good dressed, but I like the look of her right where she is.

Hi Angie, What fabulous chairs. I especially like the one that's completely undressed. What a great piece for some fun decorating.

You know what they say? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I think your chair has lovely bones and stature.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos. I love the bare chairs - for some reason, they kind of remind me of the old dress-forms. Maybe it's the wood and old fabric? Not sure. Thanks for sharing these lovely pictures, I'll to keep an eye out for an old chair like yours!
