BAD...GOOD...{No Gray Area}

Wouldn't it be nice
if life were as cut and dried
as this antique tube tester?

I mean, something is either
or it is
Right?
No gray areas.
No arguments.

Wouldn't it be nice if you
could just tell your kids,
"I'm sorry, that's BAD?"
and they'd just respond,
"Okay, mother - yes, it is BAD."
and that would be the end of it?

Yeah, wishful thinking!

Actually, a little gray area
is good sometimes.
I think it causes us to really
think about our desires, motives, thoughts,
and God's will for us,
before deciding if something is
BAD or GOOD.

I just found this old
tube tester really charming.
I liked the matter-of-factness
about it.

I think it would be cute
to put next to a child's photo.
The photo can sit on one side or other
of the tester - depending on how
the child is "testing" you that day!

By the way, it's listed
at Knick of Time on Etsy now!

Have a  night!
NO argument!

I can frequently be found visiting these parties.

  3. You're so right that there's a lot of "gray" areas in life. And oh, how wonderful if our kids would've responded to our warning of danger with a "Ok, mother." I'm sure God would love it if we responded to His warnings so obediently, as well! Great post, Angie! I just followed you via Linky Followers. Have a blessed Sunday ...

  4. I tend to see things the same way as this tester--either good or bad. But then I'm reminded that there's always something good in most everything, and vice versa. There's a reason we have the color gray.
Thanks for the great reminder to look for the good in everything.

  10. Since our kids are grow I would use this on hubs, Most of the time he'd bed on the good side, but when he's bad, he's bad, if you known what I mean. Like the battery test, pretty cool! Thanks for sharing you creative inspiration at Sunday's Best Par.tay
