Antique Graphics Wednesday - 1916 Advertisements

It's time for another

Antique Graphics Wednesday and oh-my-goodness,

do I have a goldmine for you today!

I brought home two 1916 magazines called, "The Etude".

I felt so fortunate to get these because

they were not for sale yet at the

thrift store where I purchased them,

but I struck up a conversation

with the manager and she took

me to the back of the shop and

let me look through the items

that hadn't been taken to the floor yet!

She was such a sweet gal and

we had a great conversation about

decorating with repurposed & vintage goods.

These were magazines for singers and musicians

and are filled with the most beautiful advertisements,

illustrations, sheet music, and articles.

is an advertisement for Pompeian Beauty Products.
It is stunningly beautiful!
This is perfect for a blog sidebar image.

This lovely framed ad was for Kranich & Bach Pianos.

Here's the same ad, cleaned up and with the typography removed.
Add your own words to make a new creation.

These are just a small handful of the gorgeous images found
in this magazine.

It takes some time to scan, crop and edit them, but
I'll complete more and post them next week.
