{Antique Graphics Wednesday} Printable 1800's Valentine Postcards

Wouldn't you love to receive
a Valentine postcard in the
mail that looks like one of these?

Me too!


Each of these are from the early 1900's,
and each has a story to tell.

This one is to "Emma",
from "your friend", whose name is no longer readable.
Apparently, he was smitten with her and writes,
"Haven't heard from you lately.  If I
don't hear from you, I will know
not to write anymore."

I wonder if he heard back from her.

This one is from a gal named, Martha,
who sounds like she was a little annoyed with
her friend, Anna for not corresponding more often.
She wrote, "Why don't you drop me a few lines
and let me know whether you are
amongst the living or not?
I will write you a letter when I hear from you."


At nearly 100 years old (1914),
this one shows a lot of age,
but it is very endearing and has
pretty golden highlights around the basket.

The handwriting was clearly a child's.
It simply reads,
"From Margaret Jeffries, To Ora Cadwallader"
