A New Path

Very excited and very nervous!
Today I moved into my new booth space
at the Midwest Antique Company
in Palmyra, MO
Yeah, if you haven't heard of Palmyra, you aren't alone -
it's about 15 minutes north of Hannibal, MO.
You know...where Mark Twain was from?!

It'll take me awhile to get all settled in, but
here's a few quick shots of what I got moved in today.

The booth is bigger and more expensive that I had intended to get,
but the smaller spaces weren't in good locations and the large one
is in an excellent spot - on a corner, crossing 2 aisles,
so I decided to live in the edge and give it a try!
I really never intended to get a booth anywhere,
but I keep bringing home really large pieces
that are too big to ship - like this...
I just can't seem to control my bidding finger at all at an auction!
I see a piece with "potential", the price is right,
and before I know it, it's mine.

The funny thing is, Tuesday night at an auction,
I came home with large patio umbrellas that I didn't bid on.
The auctioneer was calling and he saw me looking carefully at the umbrellas.
I guess he thought that meant I wanted them,
because next thing I knew, he said I won.
They were only $5 for both of them, so I was fine with it.
If you like the Beauty in the Beast buffet up above...it will be in my booth soon!
Wish me luck!!!

  2. Angie, I will have to check out your booth the next time I am there. I just got a bigger one at Sullivan's Antique mall in Quincy and have been working like crazy to get a hutch painted and get the booth set up. I should have it done by the end of next week. We are destined to meet. Terry
